Lovin me some family time and a WINNER

So Crewe's 15 months post will have to wait for another night. I spent very little time in the blog world this weekend because the weather was beautiful and Daddy was home. Given that he will be 16 months in a week I might just save if for a 16 month post.

We spent a lot of time outside because besides the tub that is his favorite place to be.

Here is our weekend in pictures

(Yes that is spagetti sauce on my chest, because that is how I roll)

Oh and how could I forget!?! We have a winner for the Ulitmate Body Applicator!

Congrats Holly! Shoot me and email with your address and I will get this in the mail to you! Hopefully you will let me share your results with my blog readers!

Speaking of the Ultimate Body Applicator, I had my first wrap party this weekend and it was so much fun! I will post more about it and all the inches lost this week.

I have also wrapped 3 times and intended to show my comparison pictures, but my picture program is acting funny so that will have to wait also.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

This, That, and a Recipe

I officially get an F- in blogging this week. I know ya'll are sick of hearing all my excuses like.....the house renovations, my new obssession with the Ultimate Body Wrap, and did I say house renovations???

I have a super fun 15 months post about my little munchie coming on Sunday as well as a WINNER for the contest. Yay for whoever wins, get ready to see some tightened, toned, and firm skin and hopefully some inch loss.

Ok, ok, I have been in a rambling state of mind lately, onto the recipe.

.

Popeye's Favorite Lasagna

This was my first time making this casserole. I tweaked it some to appease my protein loving honey.
So, so easy to make! I love the casseroles that you just mix together, layer, and pop in the oven.

Here's what you need (minus the pineapple) plus some Mozza

Mix egg, spinach, ricotta cheese, mozza cheese, and spinach soup mix, salt and pepper to taste
Sidenote: I used the vegetable soup mix because Wal-mart did not carry the spinach. I would stick with the spinach soup mix. The veggie was ok, but not fantastic.

We had to call in some Aunt B support for a babe who wasn't feeling great. Kisses make everything better.

Now start layering, tomato pasta sauce, then the no bake lasagna noodles

Add the mixture and then a layer of chicken

Repeat that same layering again then add a layer of noodles and tomato pasta sauce. Sprinkle with some mozza and pop in the oven for 30 minutes

Easy, peasy, cheesy, healthy and super yummy

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces, weight Part-skim Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 Rotisserie Chicken
  • 10 ounces, weight Package Frozen Spinach, Defrosted And Drained
  • 1 package Knorr® Cream Of Spinach Soup Mix, 1.8 Ounce Packet
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 cup Shredded Asiago Cheese/ Mozzarella
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • 12 ounces, weight Jar Of Tomato Pasta Sauce, Or Your Favorite Homemade Sauce
  • 10 whole No-cook Lasagna Noodles
  • ½ cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

How to make:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Begin by mixing together the ricotta, spinach, Knorr® Cream of Spinach Soup mix, egg, asiago cheese, salt and pepper.
2. Then begin layering your ingredients into an 8×10-inch glass baking dish. First lay down a layer of tomato sauce so that the pasta does not dry up. Next add the pasta and layer it so that there are no holes through to the sauce below. On top of the pasta, spread a layer of the spinach mixture, a layer of chicken, then add a layer of sauce on top of that. Repeat the layers starting with pasta. Do this 1 more time but top the last pasta layer with sauce rather than the spinach mix. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
3. Bake in a 350 F oven for 30 minutes or until center is warmed through and cheese has melted. Serve immediately.
4. If you have leftovers, cover the glass baking dish with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerator till ready to eat. Then either reheat the whole dish in the microwave or slice out individual servings and reheat on a plate in the microwave. Flavors really seem to meld together after a night or two in the refrigerator.

Little man hasn't been himself for almost a week now and we had green coming out of his eyes and nose today, so it was wonderful seeing this smile emerge again tonight.

Have a great weekend. We will be spending lots of time outside.

Giveaway with a little Happenings

Because I believe in this product so much and know whoever the lucky winner is will be hooked after they try it; I am giving away 1 wrap to one lucky reader.

All you you have to do to qualify is be a follower of my blog and leave me a comment below.

Goodluck!

In other news:

I was oh so excited at the fact that I was going to get my new camera at a great discounted price, only to find out the next day that the website (CAMERAPROMO) is a huge hoax. DO NOT use that place. I don't want my blog to be a negative place of bashing, but this place is a serious rip off and have horrible customer service.

So now ya'll are stuck with my duck taped camera photos and phone pics. Lucky you ; )

My little precious is starting to throw some serious tantrums!! Is that supposed to happen so young? I thought they stayed sweet babies much longer than this. Anyhow much of my day is spent trying to redirect, because I have heard it is still too soon for them to understand punishment.

Of course I cannot leave out all the work that has been going on at our house. The only before and afters I have so far are these.

Lame, I know! I promise they will improve and get much more exciting. The prep work is killer! Oh and in case you are wondering what the before and after are, it is the clean floor. I will never scrape a popcorn ceiling again!

Oh and I ask my honey to get a good picture of me working (yes I have to ask him to take pictures of me or I would never have any) and this is what I get. Attractive right?

Crewe loves helping his Daddy with ANYTHING!

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Baby Einstein and sugar = happy baby!

There has been playing too. Finding a good balance between house renovations and everything else in life has been something we are working on.

Questionable sandals? Are they boys or girls? Lets just say we only wear them at home.

This guys future is lookin bright

And we played outside A LOT! Dang you Lubbock weather for getting cold
Playing in the rain is pretty cool too

We ended the day in the dog bowl.

Hope your week is going great with far less tantrums!

Happy Wednesday!

Ultimate Body Wrap

This is what I would call "Healthy Habits Awesomeness"!

Have you heard of it??? I used to be such a skeptic about this product until my husband and I tried it. We are officially believers. Some people think it is a hoax and works about as well as an infomercial product, but my question to them is "Have you tried it?". Once you try this you will become a believer.

If you have 45 minutes and $25 you have time to give this a try. It is all natural and composed of plant extracts and botanicals. I use it and am nursing.

This wrap can be placed on multiple parts of your body, but it is best to start with the main area you are wanting to tighten, tone, and firm. Most people experience inch loss by their 4th wrap. The reason for this is the ingredients on the wrap target your fat cells and through lipolysis cause the toxins to leave the fat cells and be flushed out of your body.

Here is how it works. (This was the part I wanted ALL the details on because if something works so well I want to know how it scientifically works.)

Once you apply the wrap this is what happens:

1) Detoxification is the first thing that occurs. This allows the ingredients to pentrate the fat cells,

2) Lipolysis by definition is the break down of fats to release fatty acids. So essentially the ingredients enhances the bodies abilities to chop up larger lipocytes into little molecules that can exit the cell.

3) Microcirculation enhances the tightening, toning, and firming of the skin, which is why there is an improvement in scars and stretch marks. This is often the first thing you will experience after your wrap.

4) Lastly it contains anti-inflammatory angents. Anywhere you can reduce inflammation you will see a loss in inches.

Check out some of these results.

This is after 2 wraps

This is one of my friends results. Notice she got these results after 6 wraps and 18 days.

The inches lost are not water weight in fact they encourage you to drink as much water as possible over the next 3 days, becasue even after removal of the wrap  the ingredients continue to work for 72 hours. The more water you drink the higher the chance of the toxins that have been released from the cell will be flushed out of the body rather than reattach.

My brain works in pictures, so hear you can see that the wrap allows the fat reservoir to shrink as the excess fat is released from the cell to be flushed out of your body.

Eating more than your  body needs for fuel is what causes the increase in size of the fat reservoir. Your body does not need to use the amount that you are eating for fuel, so it is stored as fat.
Make sense?

I made my husband try this product out with me just to make sure it was legit. He was wrapped for the second time today and has lost 2 inches.

I will be wrapped for my second time tomorrow. My little love pooch from Crewe is going away and not even several rounds of P90x could touch my pooch. Our before and after pictures will be up after we complete our fourth wrap (4 wraps is considered a full application). Be looking for those in about a week.

I will posting more about this periodically.

If you are interested in hopping on this train of awesomeness send me an e-mail at

Slow and Steady

Thas is our motto this week.

This whole renovating your house, in your spare time, is no joke. I mean it is almost an untainable goal. How in the world are we ever going to get it done? I will keep you posted. We are making progress just VERY slowly.

All that to say, I think my next several post will be heavy on the pictures. I intended to post some before and afters of our progress so far, but forgot to take the "after" while we were there tonight . They really aren't too exciting in all honesty. I just want to give myself some major props for cleaning up the popcorn ceiling off of everything. I mean think like every light fixture, fan blade, door casing, and don't even get me started about how much was caked on the floor. You don't have to tell me how exciting this post is, I can already invision you all on the corner of your seats.

Crewe has not been in the best of moods this week, so the picture taking hasn't been as frequent, unless of course you enjoy looking at pictures of screaming children. I figure if you were into that you could just go to walmart, so I will spare ya'll.

The church sermon was THAT good on Sunday
The only way I can get ready anymore. Let him play with vitamin bottles. Safe?

We have been playing outside A LOT. In fact he has started throwing fits when we can't go out. I mean throw himself on the floor fits. Can't really blame him. It has been beautiful

Pondering his grumpiness

Throwing up the touchdown to his Target peeps.

One of the few smiles I got this week, but man it's a good one and I think that lone smile makes up for all the grumpiness.
